We have eaten at Brett's during several trips to the area. Can't believe I have never reviewed them. We ate here the first night we were at Fernandina Beach and liked the fact this was right across the street. That night it was cold so we ate inside, and wasn't crowded yet. Wait staff was great and helpful, food was great, and drinks hit the spot after a long drive. Was headed for 5 stars. A couple days later we decided to eat here again, but this was a Saturday evening and it was packed. We had to sit at the railing seats by the window in the bar area. Kept getting bumped into as people mulled around the bar, drinks were good but food was not as stellar as the earlier visit. Wait staff was good, but probably having to deal with the larger crowd probably impacts the quality of the food. Dropped them to 4 stars. If you want to experience how good the food is here, don't pick a crowded night, this place is popular on weekends.

This a wonderful restaurant on so many levels: the atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. We had to eat outside due to the fact we had our corgi and it was cold, but we forgot all about that once our server, Max, showed up. He came out as soon as we were seated, took our drink orders and made a point of coming back quickly with waters and my wine then assured husband that his martini would be served shortly. And it was. Mark remarked that the flavor of his martini was especially good so Max actually brought out the particular Vermouth bottle and how the bartender prepared same. At that point time to we ordered appetizers. I, the fried green tomatoes and Mark, shrimp bisque both of which were excellent. Mark then ordered the crab Louie salad and I the oyster po' boy sandwich. Yum for both. It was a very special meal.

We visit this restaurant annually for lunch every December when the Holiday Home Tour is scheduled. The waterfront restaurant has a great view, is very convenient to downtown and has a cute gift shop next door. The food has always been consistently good and the servers are always attentive and friendly.

Ambience was beautiful and our salmon and fried shrimp was delicious. We really enjoyed our waiter Justin. Super sweet guy and gave us great service. He helped contribute to a wonderful night.

Delicious food, fantastic service and amazing view! A must go if you're in the area! Drove through the little shops and restaurants that were very touristy and continued to drive to the end where the Marina is and we found Brett's! And what a find...best place we ate at our whole vacation while staying at the Marriott Sawgrass TCP Golf and Spa Resort (which is a beautiful resort and great vacation spot). We had the Louis Seafood Salad that was loaded with crab meat and a yummy seafood salad with minimal mayonnaise (made it better) and delicious salad dressing! Also had a great Bloody Mary! Oh I need to tell you about our great server Dana, she was super sweet, friendly very attentive!

First off we were served by Eric. Sadly they were out on my Mount Gay rum coke. So I ordered water and then I was looking at the menu and a dark and stormy that was made with my fit one of my favorite moms Papa chiller dark rum. I'll have one of those. It was called a dark and stormy. Made with ginger rum and lime. I wouldn't order a second time. But it was OK to try something different. So Peggy is old ordered to pull pork and I ordered the filet mignon. Sure feels great this place has tons of ambience. We had the perfect seat. OK now for the real Mete of the review. Peggy had the pork pulled pork sandwich. Bottom line she would order it again. Bottom line I would order it. I told her I had to try some so I could make comments about it in the review Order side of barbecue sauce which Eric brought a little dip here a little dip there I couldn't stop eating it it was that good. If you find yourself at Brent waterway Café in the afternoon the evening you should definitely order their pulled pork sandwich if you like that type of sandwich. Get an extra side of the barbecue sauce. It's perfect. Moving onto the filet mignon. 40 bucks. All I'm gonna say it was cheap compared to other places and just as good. I would not hesitate to order again. One common I like my steaks medium rare but I've learned to order a medium. It paid off in this location. I ordered medium and got medium rare and it was a perfect steak. Kudos to the kitchen. so I'm thinking about what else to tell you about this place. I ordered a dark and stormy drink with pillar rum. It was OK but I wouldn't order it again. It had ginger beer I'm not a fan of ginger beer. Not a problem with the drink just a problem with me Eric Rent server picked up I didn't care for it offered to replace the drink. It had rum so I just ordered pillar dark rum and Coke. Bottom line: the food was great. The ambience was great. My date was great. I had to throw that in because she's sitting across the table for me. But I would've said it anyway. But we made the evening the ambience and Eric those two together knocked it out of the park. You have to drive an hour to get here it'll be worth the trip. If you're on a boat even better it's just walking. Next time have safe journeys. From the old guy. Thanks for reading. PS there's a bunch of typos but that's because I was using voice dictation. I will correct them tomorrow.

I have been to Fernandina Beach several times and have seen this restaurant before, but never tried it until today. It has such a great location right on the water along Front Street, so I was hoping it would be good. My experience met that standard. I was quickly seated at one of their outdoor tables and had my drink order taken by my waiter, Max. The views were spectacular. The lunch menu also included several seafood specials. I opted to go for one of my regular dishes, shrimp and grits. Service was very quick. The dish had six large shrimp, which were cooked perfectly. The sauce was also very tasty. It contained green peppers, onions, ham, and tomatoes, and had a smoky flavor to it. It was accompanied by cheese grits. Everything together tasted great, and I would definitely order it again.

Was in town for a conference and Brett's was recommended. We came around 6:30 on a Wednesday and there was no wait for a group of 8 of us. We had a great table on the deck and service by Angelica was amazing. She attended to us with great care and attention, as well as made really good food suggestions. The shrimp scampi was delish. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.
